Accounting software giant Xero just released an original music track in honour of accountants and bookkeepers supporting small businesses
after one of the toughest years on record.
Called “A Little Love Song”, and developed alongside Australian entertainer Sam McMillan, the music track pays love to accountants across
the country while aiming to bring some light relief to the reporting period after the end of the most difficult year-end in a long time.
Accountants and bookkeepers are working day and night to stay ahead of the new requirements so they can support small businesses
throughout the end of the financial year. Xero has cleverly aimed the spotlight on the critical work done by advisers in support of small
business, the backbone of the economy.
In the midst of adversity, we’re hearing stories of accountants and bookkeepers saving the day for many small businesses, offering
much-needed guidance such as unpacking the requirements for packages like JobKeeper.
Sam Mac has said “It’s been a taxing year,” he was excited to get on board to have some fun and create this song with Xero to show some
appreciation for these hard-working Aussies.

On paper, expanding a food brand between the US and Australia looks like a surefire win. Both are wealthy, English-speaking Western nations
with a massive appreciation for burgers, barbecues, and convenient dining.
Yet, the corporate graveyard is filled with cross-continental flops. Most recently, Australian favorite Guzman y Gomez (GYG)
conceded a $13 million operating loss and pulled the pin on its major US expansion plans, while the US chain Carl’s Jr.
plunged into voluntary administration within Australia.
